Throughout the school year the student will be assigned projects and research papers that are used to determine not only what the student has learned but also to help the student aquire skills for future research papers. This year the students will have four projects, one for each semester, and two research papers. I tend to make projects more creative while the research papers or based on research within the library.
The four projects this year will cover:
Survivng Fuedal Times
Interactions amoung Natives and Explorers (Natives not only in North America but also South America, Africa, and Asia)
Industilization and the growth of Nations
Human Rights Movements
The two research papers will cover the broad topics of:
Colonization vs. Imperialism
Independence Movements
The research paper format will be discussed later in class when the first paper is assigned.
